Call forwarding

Keep your number.
We set up the forwarding with you.

Your calls forward from your own line to your agent, and we show you how to switch it off. Your number stays with your carrier.

Three ways to forward.
You pick, and you can change it.

A setting on your carrier, not with us, made with you on the go-live call.

Only what you miss

Busy and no answer. Your phone still rings, as it does today. If you don't pick up, the caller reaches your agent instead of your voicemail.

We also set your line so the next caller reaches your agent when you're already on a call, and test it with you first.

Suits the After hours plan. A good place to start.

After you close

Outside your hours. Calls after you close go to your agent. On a mobile line you turn forwarding on at close and off at open, or leave "only what you miss" on, which covers the nights too. A hosted phone system can do it on a schedule.

Nights, weekends, holidays.

Everything

All calls, all day. Your line sends all its calls to your agent, and you ring back the ones you want, with the write-up in front of you. Your phone stops ringing on jobs.

The whole line plan suits it.

We do this with you,
on the go-live call.

You dial, we listen, and you hear your own agent answer.

  1. We confirm your carrier or phone system.

A mobile carrier forwards with a dial code, a hosted phone system from its own settings page.

  2. You set it, and we listen for the confirmation.

The code is one we've dialed ourselves, never one from memory. On an iPhone, you switch off Live Voicemail first: it can answer before your carrier forwards.

  3. You call your own number from another phone.

Let it ring out, hear your agent answer, and talk to it as a caller would. The write-up comes to your inbox about a minute later, and we read it together.

  4. Your dashboard records the setting.

Once we've confirmed it on your line, the page for your line shows how your calls reach your agent, and any codes that turn it on and off.

Forwarding does not move your number anywhere. Your carrier sends on the calls you choose, and you can turn it off.

Your carrier's own page,
and what to expect from it.

Each carrier does it a little differently. We go through yours with you.

Verizon

Dial codes from the phone itself: one for all calls, one for busy and no answer, and one that cancels both. Verizon's page lists them.

AT&T

Dial codes from the phone only: AT&T does not let you change forwarding on its website. Forwarded calls count as airtime, except on some plans.

T-Mobile

All calls, or only when you don't answer, the phone is off or there's no signal. The steps depend on your phone; T-Mobile's page lists them by device.

A hosted phone system

RingCentral, Ooma, Grasshopper, Google Voice or a desk-phone provider: no dial code. The setting lives in its admin page, under call handling or call forwarding. We find it with you and keep a screenshot for your file.

A traditional landline

Fios, Spectrum or Optimum voice, or a copper line: the codes differ by provider, and some take the setting online instead. Check its page, or leave it to the go-live call.

Something else

Tell us what rings when a customer calls you, and we work it out together. Nothing is forwarded until you've rung your agent yourself and said yes.

If you want your line back

Only what you miss: your phone still rings, so you can answer it yourself.

After you close: your line is untouched while you're open.

Everything: turn forwarding off on your phone or in your phone system, and it rings as it did before. You don't need us to do it.

If you ever leave, the same setting puts your line back as it was. Callers still ring the number they already have.

Change one setting on your line and we handle the rest.
