Plumbing, heating and electrical
-
Plumbing
The leak, the clog, the water heater that quit. A caller who gives the job, the address and their number in one breath isn’t asked for them again.
-
HVAC
No heat, no cooling, a thermostat gone blank. It asks when suits them and writes down how urgent it is, in their own words, if they say.
-

-
Chimney and fireplace

-
Septic
A tank to pump, an alarm going off, an inspection before a sale.

For a new job, whatever the trade, your agent takes what’s wrong, where, when suits them, a name and the best number, and reads it all back before they hang up. The question it asks changes with the job, off your own list of services. Where a trade’s line adds one more thing it does, it does that for the other trades too.
It does not send anyone out or give a time. It says someone from your business will call them back to set one.

Where we would say no.
- Shops that already have a dispatch desk or an answering contract around the clock.
- Franchises on enterprise field-service software.
- Businesses where a licensed person must give advice on every call.
Your agent says no for you, too. Asked for work you told us you don't take, it says so plainly, then offers to take their number in case you can point them somewhere.
