Use cases
The calls Answerling takes off your plate.
Any business where the person who answers the phone is also doing the work.
What your agent does with each kind of call.
Callers say what they need in their own words, and your agent asks what that kind of call needs.
Caller: Our dryer runs, but it’s not heating.
Your agent: Sorry to hear that. Is it a gas dryer or electric?
It asks the question that fits the job, takes the rest of the details and reads them back before they hang up, then says someone will get back to them.
Caller: Can we push Tuesday’s visit to next week?
Your agent: I’ll take that down for the team. What day next week suits you?
Your agent takes the day they’d like and the best number to reach them, and it’s in your inbox after the call. A cancellation is taken down too. Give us your cancellation policy and it can tell them what it is.
It does not move a booking or confirm a time. It takes the change down, reads it back, and your team confirms it.
Caller: Am I still on for Thursday?
Your agent: I don’t have the schedule in front of me, so I’ll have the team call you back. What’s your name?
It takes their name, number and question, and says your team will call back with the answer. It reaches you in your write-up and on your dashboard.
Caller: What would a deep clean cost for a three-bedroom house?
Your agent: Usually [your range]. The team gives you the exact price. How many bathrooms are there?
The range you gave us, or no number if you’d rather, then a question about the job. A price shopper who stays on the line becomes a lead.
Caller: Is the owner around? I’d rather talk to a person.
Your agent: They’re not free right now, but I can take a message. What’s it about?
It takes who’s calling, what it’s about and the best number, reads it back, and says someone will get back to them. The message comes to whoever gets your write-ups.
Caller: You fixed this last week and it’s broken again.
Your agent: I’m sorry about that. Tell me what’s happening, and I’ll get it all down for the team.
An apology, not an argument. Your agent takes down what went wrong in their words and marks it for you to call back.
Caller: Hi, I can get your business more reviews online.
Your agent: Thanks, but we’re not interested. Goodbye.
A sales pitch gets a polite no, and your agent takes no details. Marked as a sales call, it doesn’t email you, but it still shows in your dashboard.
After the call, the write-up can be sorted two ways.
The write-up comes to your inbox, unless the call was a sales pitch, a robocall or a quick hang-up. Every call is in your dashboard.
By the kind of job
The write-up can go to a different person depending on what the caller asked about: installs to whoever prices them, repairs to whoever runs the vans. It sends the write-up, not the call.
By how the call ended
A request to confirm can go one way, a message to ring back another, and a sales call nowhere. The sorting is your agent’s read of the call.
We build the sorting with you during setup.
Nights, weekends and the hours you’re on a job.
After you close.
Your agent answers at any hour, nights, weekends and holidays, whenever your line sends it a call. The write-up is waiting when you open up.
Both hands full.
You’re up a ladder when the phone rings. Your agent takes the call and asks what the job needs, and it can take more than one call at the same time.
The call you were already on.
In your setup week we set your line so that when you’re already on a call, the next caller reaches your agent. We test it with you before you rely on it.
