Questions owners ask, answered plainly.
Before it goes live
Yes, you keep your number. In your setup week we give your agent its own local number, then set up forwarding from your line with you on a call, for the calls you choose. We show you how to switch it off. Forwarding, carrier by carrier
No. We build it for you. Bring your price sheet and the questions callers always ask, and we write your agent's answers from them. You choose how it handles prices. Anything they leave out, we ask you on our first call. The setup week
Yes. Each business gets its own agent and shows up under the same login, and you switch between them in your dashboard.
Setup starts with one fifteen-minute conversation about your calls, then we build your agent from your services, prices and hours and put it through ten scripted test calls. You ring it yourself, and it starts answering on the day we set up forwarding with you and you say yes.
You don't write a script or build anything. Bring your price sheet and the questions callers always ask. We call you with a start date, and nothing goes live until you say so. How setup works
On the call
Yes. Your agent picks its question from the job the caller describes, off your list of services, and asks one at a time. How it asks
Only the way you choose: a range from your prices, or no number at all, with the exact figure left to your team.
Want callers to hear your set prices? Give us your price list and we write it in during your setup week. Anything not on it, your team prices once they've seen the job. Prices, your way
When a caller asks, yes: it says it's your virtual assistant, and it never claims to be a person. It also tells callers at the start that the call is recorded. What we promise callers
No. Your agent never asks for card numbers or anything like them. If a caller offers one, it says that's handled another way and moves on. A number read out anyway stays in that call's recording and transcript.
Answerling is not an emergency service. Anyone who smells gas, sees smoke or has any other emergency should hang up and call 911 or their utility.
For an urgent job, like a burst pipe or no heat, it asks the one question that fits the job, takes the details, reads them back and says someone from your business will call back, without giving a time. It doesn't diagnose, and it doesn't tell a caller whether something is safe.
No. Your agent can't see your calendar, so it takes the request and the time the caller would like, reads it back, and says someone from your business will call back to set the time.
The same goes for a change of plan: "Can we push Tuesday to next week?" is taken down with the day they'd like, and your team confirms it. How it answers
It says it doesn't have that answer and writes the question down for your team. The question comes to you with that call, in the email and in your dashboard.
It answers from what you told us during setup: your hours, the work you do and don't do, your towns, your warranty, licensed and insured in your words. It doesn't guess and it doesn't promise anything you haven't given it.
It doesn't argue, and it doesn't put the call through. It takes who's calling, what it's about and the best number, reads it back, and says someone will call back.
The message comes to whoever gets your write-ups. An upset caller gets an apology, not an argument, and the complaint goes down in their words for your callback.
The write-up and your dashboard
Yes. Tell us and we stop the emails. Your dashboard keeps every call either way, ready whenever you sign in.
Yes. Tell us and we delete your calls, their recordings and their transcripts. When a business leaves, we do it within thirty days. That deletion does not reach our weekly backup of call details and transcripts. The emails in your inbox, and anything you sent on into your own apps, are yours to delete. How we handle call data
About a minute after the call, the write-up is in your inbox: who rang, what they need, the number to call back and a short summary. Each call is also kept in your dashboard, where the recording plays beside the transcript.
The email goes to everyone you name, and it links to the call rather than attaching the recording. Tell us your quiet hours and late-night emails wait until they end. Sales pitches, robocalls and quick hang-ups don't email you, but they still show in your dashboard. After the call
Your apps, after the call
After the call, the write-up can land in the app you already run: a new customer, a lead or a job request, whichever that app accepts. We connect it with you during setup. Not on our list? Name it on your call. See the integrations
Your email and your dashboard come with every plan. Your other apps connect through Zapier, from your own Zapier account, after the call; nothing reaches them while the caller is on the line. A Zap with more than one step (a filter counts), a premium app such as QuickBooks Online, or more calls a month than Zapier's free plan runs needs a paid Zapier plan, which Zapier bills. Each call's write-up goes once to each Zap you switch on; without a filter, calls marked as sales pitches or hang-ups reach your Zap too. Your dashboard keeps every call either way. We set it all up with you during setup and tell you which plan your Zaps need. The Zapier integration
Billing
Two plans, month to month. After hours is $149 a month with 200 minutes of talk. The whole line is $299 a month with 600 minutes. Above that, $0.40 a minute on either plan. No setup fee. Both plans, side by side
No annual contract. The service runs month to month under a written agreement, and you can cancel any month by emailing us before your renewal date. Answerling either earns its keep or it does not.
Minutes above your plan are $0.40 each, billed at the end of the month.
